Vertical search is the term people sometimes use for specialty or niche search engines that focus on a limited data set. Examples of vertical search solutions provided by the major search engines are image, video, news, and blog searches. Readability has never been more important. If you’re not familiar with this term, it refers to how easy a piece of copy is for the average reader to get through. While uncovering and fixing technical issues has always been an important part of SEO, in the wake of Panda and Penguin, technical SEO has moved closer to the forefront. It requires constant updating, tweaking, experimenting and testing. And with SEO being one of the highest returning investments you’ll make for your website, you’ll want to constantly measure its success to maintain powerful results.
“Niche down” approach
The navigation should help the user browse the pages without problems. From the menu structure to the link structure and the page’s design, even a slight detail may impact the user experience. Don’t use hidden text
or links on your website to optimize your site for search engines. Some webmasters will try to make text or links invisible to visitors but visible to search engine spiders. One way they do this is to use white text on a white background. Search engines can now easily spot this sort of behavior, so it will not help your site rank at all. Ranking high on Google is crucial for attracting consumers to your company. By investing in blogging, you have the opportunity to establish your company as a leader in your industry, as well as reach the customers who are going to take you to the next level. You need images not only to improve a user’s experience on your website but also because they have a positive impact on your SEO. It’s not enough to simply have images on a website, though. To help with your Google search ranking, come up with creative file names and alt tags which describe what the image is.
Become the online authority for your industry
Keep track of how many times your past keywords have yielded expected results. Use the right tools to track where you rank for the keywords you target. The only thing you can do off site to incraese your rankings is build up more links. More links will generally lead to better Google PageRank and better search engine rankings. As Google continues its journey for the perfect user experience on their own site, you have to strive to keep up. Make sure your title
tag is 50-60 characters long, including spaces. Anything longer and Google may cut you short. Google has spent millions of dollars to create faster load times for search results. If they have taken load times so seriously, shouldn’t you? The basic premise is that a page will show up in search engine results
because the website had mentioned the terms that were being searched
for on the website page. Of course, many websites use the same keywords
on the same page.
