Be Yourself. Write about what you know and make it a conversation with your readers. Keep it natural. People will find your content because they speak the same language and seek your advice. Keyword stuffing occurs when too many variations of the same phrase are shoehorned to fit into important ranking factors, such as URLs, meta titles and descriptions, image alt text and body copy. This practice can significantly impair the user experience as the website is sculpted solely for search engines and not real people. Googlebot uses sitemaps and databases of links discovered during previous crawls to determine where to go next. Whenever the crawler finds new links on a site, it adds them to the list of pages to visit next. If Googlebot finds changes in the links or broken links, it will make a note of that so the index can be updated. Your website pages must have strong calls to action that make it easy and tempting for search engine traffic to take the next step in the business relationship. Without that, your SEO spending is wasted. Here are tips for crafting strong calls to action:

Local SEO and Listings

Before entering a new market, it’s crucial to do a proper market analysis and identify the opportunities and threats that you could encounter. While building backlinks, developing your social media presence, and other off-site practices are great for boosting your site’s rankings, on-page optimization is still incredibly important. An HTML sitemap (as opposed to an XML sitemap) is often mentioned as being useful for SEO. They certainly are if you use them wisely (and especially Bing seems to like them at times), but I like them even more for the fact that users like them a lot. Measuring how many visits your site gets, and analyzing the sources sending the most traffic, means you can see which content marketing and SEO strategies are getting you the best results.

Duplicate content checks

It’s all very well to know what problems you can look for and fix to improve the stability of your rankings. However, as with everything, prevention is better than cure. Once you’ve identified and fixed the SEO elements causing your problems, whether they are issues described in this post or otherwise, you owe it to yourself and your business to create a proper SEO plan for your website. Websites can occupy a so-called Bad Neighborhood. This refers to all websites that have been severely downgraded by search engines. With so many people using smartphones and tablet for their Internet search, it is imperative that you have a plan ready to compete for their business. In the earlier days of SEO, the organic search engine optimization discipline was more of a technical skill, of making sites crawlable. Then the focus switched to creating quality content where keywords were used in a natural way.

Duplicate content causes problems

Use internal links with clear and informative anchor text. You search ranking depends not only on the search term used, but also on where and when you perform the search. You see, when you go to Google.com and type a search, there isn't just one computer answering the name Google.com. If there was, it would have to be the fastest computer ever made. There are just too many people searching, so, each search request is divided between thousands of servers around the world. Frequently, to speed things up, your search will be directed to the server physically closest to you. But, if this is busy, it will be redirected to a less busy server. If your current website isn’t using HTTPS then you should start scoping out a migration. We asked an SEO Specialist, Gaz Hall, for his thoughts on the matter: "Always ensure that your keyword or phrase appears in the first 100 words of your page, if not the first sentence. This is more important than keyword frequency."

Generate keyword ideas

We’ve known for a while that Google isn’t the way people find content anymore. Audiences live on social, and it’s the primary source of new information. Still, the new era of search has taken a prominent role as a place where people are looking for solutions. You find solutions on Google every day, but it may have become such a part of your daily routine that you haven’t realize how easy it is. Use an online tool to help you come up with more keyword and topic ideas, based on some of your preliminary ideas. When you link to a webpage, you’re proclaiming that you trust that content as a resource – so your brand is on the line. Search engines decide rankings on what is called the results page. You will sometimes see me use the term SERP, which is the acronym for Search Engine Results Page. In a Google search, the search engine makes its decisions based on signals from websites and the person searching.
