Keyword research represents the very foundation of your SEO campaign and when done properly, keywords can drive traffic and rankings for your web pages. Keywords represent terms and phrases people type as search queries to find local businesses. Be under no illusions, advanced SEO is a full-time job. However, there are critical fundamentals that can greatly enhance your organic position and ultimately, your organic revenue. SEO, that is ethical and organic, takes serious time. Anyone that claims otherwise is just looking to take your money and run. Head terms are searched more frequently, have less words (3 or less in most cases) and are often much more generic and competitive as a result. Long-tail terms are longer phrases (commonly over 3 words) and more specific. While long-tail keywords are usually less popular, we can usually tell exactly what the searcher is after.

Become relevant for your search terms
Type in your keyphrases. At least look at the first page (the top 10) and see what everyone else has in their description tags. Does it look like they’re being pulled from the copy on their pages? Some mobile sites refuse
access to anything but mobile phones,
making it impossible for Googlebot to access the site, and therefore
making the site unsearchable. Google does not always show the title tags as you intend it to to show. It might not take the title tags from their beginning if a query best matches words from the middle or end of a title tag. The truth is that you can get bad links every day. Your competitors don’t want your website to rank well. They can plan a negative SEO attack, sending a lot of spammy links to your website.

Consider writing a piece of guest content, not for your own site but for a relevant, external site. As part of the deal, agree that you may include a link to your site When you’re looking at a competitor’s web page source code, you’ll see the title tag near the top of the page, along with a bunch of
tags used to describe the page’s content. If the site includes it, the meta name= ”keywords” tag should be a few lines below. Both of these contain your competitor’s keywords. Internal backlinks connect different assets — including content, product pages, or other information — together. Naturally, external backlinks will lead to increased brand exposure and sales.
