One of the very first things that you need to do in order to gain success in online marketing is to establish the main keyword of your site. When you are able to do that, you can make use of it and optimize your web page with it. If possible, you can also make use of it for your domain name. Analytics tools such as Google Analytics, Google
Search Console, Ryte and HubSpot enable you
to examine many important details about your
website and its usage. For example, the HubSpot
tool can identify which organic keywords are
already driving traffic to your website. The same
is true of Google Search Console, which is free.
These keywords create a good base of core
keywords and give you a list of keywords that
you can use to measure the performance of your
future SEO efforts. Link Building adds a level of credibility to your website which just isn’t present without those links to reliable information sources backing up whatever claims you’re making back on your own website. Everyone knows not to trust everything they read on the Internet, but finding other sites saying the same things sure doesn’t hurt. Whenever a high authority blog links to your website, Google considers it as a positive signal toward your blog. Your blog becomes more important and it gives your site a boost in search rankings. The more backlinks you have, the higher you rank on Google Search.
The key here is to make sure SEO is worthwhile
If your site has a blog with public
commenting turned on, links within those comments could pass your
reputation to pages that you may not be comfortable vouching for. Every SEO strategy focusing
on making the best website possible, will make a website more usable and user-friendly. Make sure your website is optimised for mobile. When someone is searching for something on a mobile device, Google will now promote websites which are mobile friendly ahead of ones that aren’t. There’s a danger that duplicate content will cannibalize the keywords you want to target in search. Duplicate content can be a problem on your own site, but also with any guest posts that you submit to other websites for backlinks.
Picking Geo Modifiers
Google already gives ranking boosts to sites on a secure protocol (https vs. http) and this emphasis on security will only grow as time passes. Since Google only wants
to deliver the best possible results to its users, it will push sites with strong engagement up in the search engine results pages (SERPs). The number, accuracy and quality of your business' local citations improve its chances of featuring highly in search results. Googlebot uses sitemaps and databases of links discovered during previous crawls to determine where to go next. Whenever the crawler finds new links on a site, it adds them to the list of pages to visit next. If Googlebot finds changes in the links or broken links, it will make a note of that so the index can be updated.
Optimize for people
Domain to page relevancy means the page linking to your website is relevant to your domain. Writing is hard enough when you have to write 500 word blog posts. Now imagine writing in-depth articles and guides that stretch to 5,000+ words on a consistent basis. The secret to building a blog that gets crazy backlinks, ranks for awesome keywords and makes you money on autopilot? We asked an SEO Specialist
, Gaz Hall, for his thoughts on the matter: "Visiting a website and sticking in your credit card details in return for thousands of links remains an option but presents a greater risk than ever before."
Guest blogging was fine years ago, but is not a great way to build links now
Give the search engines some time to do their thing (a couple days, or even
weeks) and then keep checking your rank to see what happened and track
your progress. Be informative. Above all
else, ensure you have informative content. The most entertaining writing doesn’t make you an authority on much more than entertainment. Make sure you have clean, short, descriptive URLs. Descriptive means keyword-rich but not keyword-stuffed. You should see improvements in website traffic, a key indicator of progress for your keywords.
