Backlinks from older websites may be worth more than links from newer sites. When optimizing for conversion, it is critical to gain some perspective into the psychographics of your target audience, and also understand the most common segments of search intent. By creating great relevant content with the right keywords and having a few decent backlinks built to those content pages, you can easily rank in Google depending on the competition for that particular search. Competition with a comparable piece of content will beat you in the rankings if they have a better link profile and vice versa. If your products or services are good and you have a solid marketing strategy, you will achieve both PageRank and customers. If, on the other hand, you do anything to piss Google off, you can forget about traffic coming in via search, and I wish you the best of luck!

Web 2.0’s and Google Stacks

Go out of your way to consistently create detailed content that brings enormous value to the end user, and you'll be on your way to dominating search. Do you have enough pages around a specific topic area that it would make sense to create a page describing these related pages (e.g. root page -> related topic listing -> specific topic)? Do you have hundreds of different products that need to be classified under multiple category and subcategory pages? The first step once you start an search engine optimization (SEO) project is to find out how many keywords you expect to use for all your pages. The number of keywords needed for an organic SEO project depends on the business and what words would be beneficial to provide the site with acceptable traffic. When you've selected your focus keyword, ensure it is found in your title tag, h1 tag, meta description, article text and make sure that relevant keywords are also be found throughout the content as well as h2 tags.

Google Search Console Help Center has a set of instructions that you can follow on how to build and submit a sitemap. If you have a WordPress site, though, you can sit back and relax as a sitemap is already automatically generated and submitted to search engines for you. There’s no denying that a website’s popularity correlates with how high it ranks in search engine results, and in a way, backlinks are like popularity votes. The more links you have leading to your website from outside websites, the more traction you’ll gain from search engines. If you have the money, you can speed up your Link Building process significantly by purchasing links. This is done in a similar fashion as advertising. There are websites that build up their content, do their SEO and get their site to become popular. Once that happens, they offer to place your link in their site; for a price of course. So how do you determine your competition? What should you be looking for?

Write a keyword-rich introduction

Mobile is becoming more popular every year. Having links from more popular websites carry more weight than less popular sites. Always Add Value. Add value in every blog post, blog comment, social media update and web page. Don’t worry about backlinks or keyword rank. People will read and share your valuable content, and the rest will take care of itself. According to SEO Consultant, Gaz Hall: "SEO works best when it is tailored to the Website, rather than forcing a Website to comply with a specific list of SEO requirements. You’re not optimizing for search if you require every Website to do the exact same things."

Links make the web go round.

As we all know, Google change their algorithm 500+ times a year, and these are the small tweaks to make user experience and results better, and these are largely unconfirmed. There is always room for improvement with updates, additional information, and various other things that can make it more useful to visitors. Among many factors that a search engine considers to rank the website, a backlink is one of the most important factors considered by the popular search engines to rank the website.
